World Ocean Day - June 8, 2026

Protecting our oceans and the species that call them home.

  • Our oceans. Their species. Our planet.

  • World Ocean Day focuses on promoting a unified, global approach to ocean conservation. It is to emphasize that we share one interconnected ocean rather than separate themes. To unify the world to keep an eye on our oceans and their species.

  • World Ocean Day is observed globally on June 8th every year.

  • You can be a part of World Ocean Day anywhere you are. You can spread the message of World Ocean Day with your friends and family, and your community to help us all create a better world for our ocean species.

  • Aside from being home to millions of species, our ocean also produce most of the oxygen that we breathe. Our oceans add to our climate and are a part of our every day life far beyond what we could ever imagine. We need to protect our oceans and our planet.
